SFTIO Design Team Blog Hop

Welcome to the SFTIO Design Team Blog Hop! We are showcasing layouts by the current design team using CreateU kits from SFTIO. If you are just arriving at my blog, make sure you go to the beginning at Melissa's blog as you won't want to miss out on all the gorgeous inspiration. This hop is special as we say goodbye to some very wonderful ladies, who have been part of the SFTIO family for over a year and will continue to be forever family. We are also saying HELLO to our new TEEN COLLECTIVE. What is a "Teen Collective"? We are combining the Teen Designers from CreateU with our Design Team at SFTIO. This is a wonderful opportunity to have each of these girls give their perspective of the monthly emotion. Each Teen Designer will be joining us for one month as a Guest Designer but, will be a constant and active "voice" on our website and forum.  

Ready to begin? 

Today I'm sharing one of my layouts using the CreateU Achievement kit.  I borrowed the following description of the kit from the CreateU Blog:

Achievement is all about reaching for the stars, becoming who you are meant to be and working hard to have all you dream of.  How do you measure success?  Is it internal or defined by external approval?  What are your proudest accomplishments, what defeats have you overcome and what would you like to master? 

The journalling reads:

"My school years have had many ups and downs, but overall I have enjoyed them. Even though I have made a lot of good memories, I am looking forward to moving on from high school. My favorite subjects are Psychology, Chemistry, and World History.  Many teachers have helped me get where I am today. They encouraged me to do my best, even when I wasn't so sure of myself."

When designing this layout, I wanted to keep things simple and use as many of the beautiful papers that came in the kit as possible.  I decided to use a grid style, allowing me to incorporate 9 different papers.  The awesome papers and embellishments included in the kit allowed me to make a layout that truly captured my feelings on high school.  The school-themed papers and embellishments acted as a symbol of the time period I was in when I created this layout.  I was in the middle of my Senior year of high school and was anxious yet excited for the future! I have achieved so much during my high school years, and the school-themed kit really pulled this whole layout together and allowed me to look back on my achievements as well as forward to what I hope to accomplish in the future.  Looking back on this layout, I am so glad I had the Achievement kit to help guide me through the process of capturing my feelings mid-way through my senior year of high school.  I know I have created a layout that I will cherish forever!  This kit was an amazing tool that prompted me to dig deeper into my life and my feelings on high school.
